"Excellent, Surpassed my expectations... was fantastic"

"A first class event... I would definitely recommend your service to others"

Adrian is an experienced Landscape Ecologist, University Lecturer, Researcher and conservation adviser with a passionate interest in the ecology and culture of our ancient landscapes. He takes people on a fascinating journey of discovery, bringing to life the geology, wildlife, archaeology, history, heritage, conservation and potential of the landscape around them. He helps people to reconnect with the natural world in a fascinating and inspiring journey. For teams and groups, this can also give people the time, space and environment to connect with each other without pressure in a totally natural and organic environment. Adrian invites you to 'Walk the Mendips' with him, for an unforgettable experience.

More than just a guided walk, it gives people the opportunity to reconnect to the landscape in a way that is meaningful to them. For some, it's the archaeology and history, the awe-inspiring monuments like hill forts, barrows and standing stones. Some people connect with the human elements such as the marks left on the landscape by our ancestors' struggle to survive, the evidence of changing cultures over time, or by current farming and conservation activities. Others will be inspired simply by taking a fresh, and more informed, look at the beauty of nature and diversity of wildlife against a backdrop of stunning views.

Adrian offers guided walks, presentations, publications, research and training for individuals and organisations. Clients include walkers, bushcrafters, ecology and conservation professionals, management teams & corporate groups, and ordinary folk with an interest in nature and the countryside.

Topic areas include landscape ecology, wild food, nature conservation & countryside management. Specialist lectures and presentations are also available in other areas of landscape ecology, including hedgerow translocation, the ecology and origins of the Mendip Hills, permaculture, etc, please contact us for details.

Whatever your area of interest, Adrian can help you 'read the landscape' and develop a whole new perspective from which to gain more from all your future forays into the wild, wherever they may be!

"I was really impressed with the level of service and care that was taken to look after us for the day. It was a first class event and I would definitely organise further events with you, or recommend your service to others. Many thanks" (Project Manager, British Trust for Conservation Volunteers)

"perfect antidote to days on end of training rooms and office working; great to escape the city" (Staff Dev Manager & Team members, South Glos Council)

"a fabulous day and the fascinating insight ~ everything we could have wished for ~ you have given us the tools to ‘read’ the landscape and fired our enthusiasm even more ~ it is a wonderful way to learn with such an enthusiastic, passionate and charming guide!" Karen, husband & friends
